KSEC's Annual Planning Meeting will be January 17-19, 2020. KSEC Leader will gather to set plans for the upcoming year and establish lines of communication and collaboration among our many programs.

Our meeting's location will be announced soon, but all candidate cities are in the Central Kentucky region.

We'll be offering food and lodging for all attendees free of cost, and we will offer travel scholarships as needed.

Register online at this page.

Accessibility Statement: KSEC does everything in our power to make our events as safe and accessible as possible. All of our venues are fully ADA accessible and climate controlled. Whenever possible we offer gender neutral bathrooms and metal frame, armless chairs. We can help set up a carpool, offer a small scholarship, and provide food and housing. We don't turn anyone away for a lack of funds. We also encourage participants to take care of themselves and provide alternative spaces for folks who need time to rest and decompress. If you have additional needs, please reach out and we'll do our best to meet them.

KSEC is launching a new Mutual Aid Working Group! This new group will convene for the first time on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 2 PM - 6 PM. We'll meet on UK's Campus in Lexington, Kentucky in the Whitehall Classroom Building. After the meeting, KSEC will provide dinner for everyone. Light snacks will be provided during the meeting.

During this meeting, we'll set the foundation for a strong, radical working group. We'll talk about this WGs mission and purpose, what mutual aid is, and how to do this right. We'll set a vision and make plans together. You don't have to make a commitment to the working group to attend, but keep in mind we will be making plans and laying the ground work for a team.

If you have questions, please reach out to Caci Gibson at 1-606-231-6803 or cacigibson94@gmail DOT com. We would be happy to help you set up a carpool or provide a gas scholarship so you can attend.

Parking is available nearby in the Student Center parking lot, off Avenue of Champions. Parking is free on Sundays and you do not need a parking pass. There are accessible spots. The Whitehall building is a 0.30 mile walk from the Student Center. You can choose to enter the Student Center, take the elevator, and then walk over the pedestrian bridge to get there or you can walk up hill from the parking lot using the ramp or the stairs. Please refer to the UK Campus Parking Map for more info.

Accessibility Statement: KSEC is committed to making all of our events and programs as accessible as possible. If you are interested in coming but concerned about accessibility please reach out. White Hall Classroom Building is an older, but accessible building with accessible restrooms. There are armless, metal framed chairs. Please reach out if you have other questions or need help getting there.

KSEC wants these calls to be a space where new campaigns and conversations can take root. We want to hear from you, be accountable to you, and organize with you.

These calls are part of KSEC's effort to rebuild our State Network program to better meet our member's needs. We are considering hosting these calls monthly; if you would be interested in that, please help us make these successful!

Accessibility Statement: These calls will be online using free software called Zoom. You can join Zoom from a computer using audio, video, or both and do not have to install a program. You can also join Zoom from a mobile app or by calling in. At this time, we do not know of any way to provide captions for this call.
