Catalyst Summer Camp
Catalyst is a transformative week-long training for folks interested in becoming activists and who want to make a difference on environmental and social justice issues.
We strive to create a youth-focused, anti-oppressive and inclusive space where we can build power and connections to create the kind of Kentucky where we want to live. Accessibility is extremely important to us and to that end the program is offered at a “pay what you can” rate for all participants and the site is ADA compliant. We are also exploring ways to provide translation and interpretation for participants who need these services. |
We are able to offer Catalyst at a Pay-What-You-Can rate because of the generous donations of our members and supporters! |
What will I learn at Catalyst?

Workshops will include meeting facilitation, media work, and campaign strategy, among others. (See a draft training schedule here.) Beyond students learning these necessary skills, we will also emphasize building strong, lifelong bonds between participants. Progressive young people can often feel isolated in their communities, and building this statewide network through trainings delivered through a Kentucky-specific lens will break this isolation. Our hope is for participants to use the network formed at Catalyst to put roots in Kentucky and fight for change for decades to come.
